Scientist On Brink Of Discovering Cure For ADHD Distracted By Shiny Object Over There
April 25th - Reports indicate that a brilliant scientist who is on the brink of discovering a cure for ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) has become distracted by a shiny object on the other side of his laboratory.
Dr. Henry Fokus, who has been working to discover a cure for ADHD for almost 15 years, seemed to be just seconds away from a breakthrough before a mysterious shiny object across the room caught his attention.
“It turns out the shiny object was just a fancy microscope,” said Dr. Fokus. “But I wonder if it can do things other microscopes can’t? I’m gonna run to my office real quick and grab a bunch of stuff and see if I can examine them under this microscope. Or maybe I should bring this microscope to my office to save myself a trip? I know...I’ll bring the microscope halfway to my office and leave it there, then grab stuff from my office and bring it back to the microscope. Problem solved.”
After leaving the microscope in the middle of the hallway between his lab and his office, Dr. Fokus proceeded to open up a funny email that his friend had forwarded to him, which led him to open up several more funny emails and forget why he had come into his office in the first place.
“Well, you can’t solve all the world’s problems in one day,” said Dr. Fokus. “Tomorrow, though. Tomorrow’s the day I’m finally gonna figure out what my pen looks like under that microscope.”
