Local Mother With Severely Broken Back Begging City To Fill Cracks In Sidewalk
March 26th - Sources say that a local mother with a severely broken back is begging city officials to do something about the cracks in the sidewalks.
“I understand that it’s no small task to fill in every single crack in the sidewalks,” said Heather Saunders, a mother of two young children. “But my back simply can’t take it anymore. My kids can’t resist the temptation to step on each and every line on the side of the road, and my doctor said if this keeps up much longer my back may be permanently damaged. The pain is unbearable.”
Local officials have taken Saunders’ request into consideration, but are not optimistic that they will be able to repair every single crack in the city sidewalks.
“There’s a lot of wear and tear on these sidewalks,” said one member of the city council. “We sympathize with Miss Saunders, we really do...but it’s a daunting task, and we have so many issues relating to our city’s infrastructure that I can’t promise a solution will be reached anytime soon. I’m still trying to figure out what to do about the bridge that just collapsed.”
