Local Bees Putting Together GoFundMe Campaign Amidst Worries That Humans Are Becoming Endangered Species

June 5th - Reports indicate that some local bees are putting together a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to diminish concerns that human beings are becoming an endangered species.

The bees, most of whom are nothing more than common worker bees, are hoping that the creation of a GoFundMe page will help raise plenty of honey, as well as awareness for the need to save homo sapiens (human beings) from extinction.

The campaign, which the bees have decided to call “Save the Homos,” has quickly gone viral, much to the pleasure of Billy, the young bee who came up with the idea to save the human species.

“These homo sapiens are in rough shape right now,” said Billy, while sipping on some fine-ass honey. “Their government appears to be in a constant state of chaos, they’re constantly trying to blow each other up, and most of them don’t seem to care that the environment around them is rapidly being destroyed. If anything were to happen to the human race, my stinger would become useless. Therefore, it’s imperative that we all join together as a colony to #SaveTheHomos.”

The queen bee says she is aware of the campaign but has other priorities that she must attend to first.

“We’re falling way behind the other bees when it comes to honey production,” said the queen. “I know some people claim that the honey industry is dying, but that sounds like nothing more than a bunch of buzzing to me. We need to continue to drill for more honey. Leave no honeycomb untouched. When we have all the honey, then we’ll see if there’s time to save the human species.”
