Baseball Season Is Way Too Long, Says Basketball Fan Gearing Up For Three Months Of NBA Playoffs
April 14th - Sources say that a local basketball fan thinks baseball season has a major problem with the length of their season, claiming that playing 162 games over a 6-month period is just overkill.
“Six months of the same sport over and over again? Yeah, I’ll pass,” said Sam Davies, a local basketball fan who can’t wait for the upcoming 3 months of NBA playoffs. “It’s bad enough that they play every day, but the idea of scheduling games from April through September followed by a month of playoffs is just ridiculous.”
Davies was adamant about the fact that the NBA scheduling model was the gold standard, and should be adopted by every other major sport.
“The only proper way to watch sports is to completely ignore the first five months of the regular season because you know that fifty percent of the teams in the league are going to make the playoffs,” said the angry fan. “Then you can really creep up to the edge of your seat and watch with anticipation as the top four teams annihilate the weaker teams in the league from April through June.”
