Stabbing Yourself In The Ribs Challenge Appears To Be Much Cooler Alternative To Tide Pod Challenge
January 25th - Just weeks after the international sensation known as the “Tide Pod Challenge” entered our lives, a new, cooler alternative appears to be on the verge of replacing it. The exact origin of The Stabbing Yourself in the Ribs Challenge is unclear, but experts agree that, regardless of where it began, it has the potential to be the coolest challenge that we’ve ever seen.
Unlike the Tide Pod Challenge, which involves eating a small pod containing bleach and dishwasher detergent, the Stabbing Yourself in the Ribs Challenge does not require the participant to eat anything at all. The only requirement to complete this challenge is to stab yourself in the ribs with a sharp object, which could be anything from a small stick to a spare piece of glass.
“We had the Ice Bucket Challenge a while back, and that raised a lot of awareness for ALS. That was great! Then we had the Tide Pod Challenge, which raised a lot of awareness for the need to upgrade our educational system. Now we finally have a challenge that we can all get behind.”

While doctors, federal agencies, and several species of amphibians have warned people that stabbing yourself in the ribs with a sharp object could potentially cause a serious injury or death and would be incredibly foolish to try, experts argue that only cool kids understand and that if you try this you’ll become famous.
